Frequently Asked Questions
Do you supply geotextile fabric in Bellingen?
Yes. BelloScapes Supply Co. is the local supplier of premium geotextile fabrics for customers in Bellingen, Dorrigo, Coffs Harbour and surrounding areas. We keep popular products in stock, making it easy to get what you need without waiting for interstate deliveries.
What is geotextile fabric used for?
Geotextile fabric is used to separate soil and gravel, improve drainage, prevent weed growth, reduce erosion and reinforce the ground beneath roads, driveways, retaining walls and landscaping projects. It's an essential product for creating long-lasting outdoor spaces.
What is Bidim Green Filterwrap?
Bidim Green Filterwrap is a nonwoven geotextile designed for filtration and separation applications.
It allows water to pass through while helping prevent surrounding soil and fine particles from migrating into drainage aggregate. BelloScapes stocks Bidim Green Filterwrap in several convenient roll widths for projects of different sizes.
Which size Bidim Green Filterwrap should I buy?
We stock Bidim Green Filterwrap in:
600mm × 50m – 30m²
1.0m × 50m – 50m²
1.2m × 50m – 60m²
2.0m × 50m – 100m²
The best size isn't determined by square metres alone. Consider the length, width and shape of your project, as well as the way the material needs to be installed.
Our Product Calculator can help you estimate the quantity required.
Can I use Bidim Green behind a retaining wall?
Geotextile can form part of a retaining-wall drainage system by helping separate soil from drainage aggregate while allowing water movement.
However, retaining-wall requirements vary considerably depending on the wall, soil, site conditions and drainage design. For structural or engineered walls, always follow the specified design and technical requirements.
What is jute matting used for?
Jute matting is a natural, biodegradable erosion-control material commonly used on slopes, exposed soil, landscaped areas and revegetation projects.
It helps protect the soil surface while plants become established. As vegetation develops stronger root systems, the jute gradually biodegrades.
How much jute matting do I need?
Our Jute Thick Matting rolls measure 1.83m × 25m, providing approximately 45.75m² per roll.
Start by measuring the area you want to cover. Remember that your installation may require additional material for overlaps, edges and anchoring, so don't base your order solely on the exact surface area.
What is Megaflo Green?
Megaflo Green is a flat panel subsoil drainage system designed to collect and move subsurface water.
Its slim profile allows it to be installed in a relatively narrow trench, while its broad vertical surface helps intercept groundwater. BelloScapes stocks Megaflo Green 170 in 25-metre lengths.
Where can Megaflo Green be used?
Depending on the project design and site conditions, Megaflo Green can be used in applications such as subsoil drainage, retaining walls, landscaped areas, driveways and civil works.
Before installing any drainage system, it's important to understand where the water is coming from and where it can appropriately discharge.
Which Megaflo fittings do you stock?
We stock fittings for the Megaflo Green 170 drainage system, including:
T & Y Fittings for branches and intersections, End Caps for terminating a drainage run, and End Outlet Fittings for creating an outlet at the end of the system.
How much Megaflo do I need?
Megaflo Green 170 is supplied in 25-metre lengths.
Measure the total length of your planned drainage run and round up to the number of complete lengths required. You'll also need to consider branches, intersections, termination points and outlets when determining which fittings you need.
What are geotextile pins used for?
Geotextile pins are used to help secure geotextile, erosion-control matting and other landscaping materials in position during installation.
The appropriate pin and fixing rate will depend on the material, application, soil and site conditions.
What are the hardwood stakes used for?
Our 900 × 50 × 25mm hardwood stakes are suitable for applications including securing silt fencing.
They are available individually, making it easy to purchase the quantity appropriate for your project.
What are AquaRockBags used for?
AquaRockBags are heavy-duty systems used for applications including erosion protection, scour protection and water-management projects.
BelloScapes stocks 1 tonne, 2 tonne and 4 tonne AquaRockBags. Because the appropriate solution can depend heavily on site conditions and the nature of the project, technical or engineered applications should follow the relevant design and manufacturer guidance.
Can I hire an AquaRockBag filling frame?
Yes. BelloScapes Supply Co. has purpose-built AquaRockBag filling frames available for hire for both 1 tonne and 2 tonne AquaRockBags.
The hire rate is $150 per day, per frame, with three frames available in each size. Filling frames are collected from our Bellingen yard, and availability is subject to prior bookings.

Why use geotextile fabric under gravel?
Installing geotextile fabric beneath gravel helps prevent the gravel from mixing with the underlying soil. It improves drainage, reduces maintenance, increases stability, and extends the life of driveways, pathways, and landscaped areas.
What is Bidim® Green Filterwrap used for?
Bidim® Green Filterwrap is a premium non-woven geotextile commonly used behind retaining walls, around agricultural drainage systems, beneath driveways, under gravel pathways, and in civil construction projects. It provides excellent filtration while allowing water to pass through, helping to prevent soil movement and blockages.
